Greetings. I looked at a rug today that appears to be a Kuba. It is approximately 4’ 4” by 3’ 7”. The border at one end has been shortened.

There is an inscription across the rug that I cannot read. Does anyone know what it says?
Any thoughts on the age or value of this rug?

Thank you for your thoughts.

It is a pretty piece. The inscription is quite difficult to read. It appears to say "The work of Faary Choon Tafl".The date side of things is easier as it is dated 1295 and it is 1438 now. So it is pretty old. In the present condition I think it is worth about $500 to $700.
