I bought this rug 2012 and was told it is a 100% wool Afghan Chobi . It has lovely rich earthy colours both directions one darker than other pictures do not do it justice. Dimensions are 9.5' x 6.9' short wool pile.

It is an Afghan Choobi. All rugs look darker from one end than the other to different degrees. That is as a result of the direction of the pile. Darker when you are looking into the pile.
