hello, seller states its a large persian rug, approx. 60 inches X 110 inches, and great overall condition...she is hopefully getting me more photos, but i just wanted to quickly through this out because she said she's had a lot of interest. asking $400.

please let me know the forums' thoughts!

thanks.

...sorry, but i can't seem to upload the photos to this post...as well as, for posting it three times...i'm trying to reduce the file size and see if that's the problem (i think the internet is timing out).

...has anyone else had any problems posting images???

Hello.
I would not buy. I really cannot tell precisly where this one is from but the colors and the wool are looking rather poor. I see a summak in green-red telling me it is probably a persian rug. The frings are woven like turkish rugs. My guess is a very thick Khorassan Mashad or Kashmar rug. Are there moth demages over the border?

...thanks for the reply, chris. yea, it didn't wow me and i had seen the border and couldn't tell whether it was a design or damage... i asked for more photos, but haven't received any yet. i was just more curious to see the forum's thoughts on what it is (also, is it forum's or forums'...it'd be forum's right, singular possessive even though the forum represents multiple people....any English majors out there?)

...i think i'll pass...thanks again!

ps...i'm still looking to get my hands on the 6x9 sarouk i had posted a coupe of weeks back...very interesting seller...great guy.

The price is not great, the rug is not great, i would pass also. The sarouk you posted is a great rug at a great price. If you get a chance to buy it, you will not make a mistake. If you don`t like it, I would take it right away :-)!
