This 9x12 Heriz? was stolen from our home. My iwife's parents bought it in the early 50's in Seattle and it may have been used. I am leary of what some dealers are putting on as a value for insurance replacement value ($7,000) for this rug which was in very good condition. Any ideas if this value is appropriate? Thanks Mike

haha cute pics. 9x12 is a very desirable size and it looks like this was a nice rug. colors look great, but there's no way we could guess on value. Prices range on these a tremendous amount depending on contrast, dyes, vintage, quality, design, and sometimes even selvages. I know a dealer who pushes the price up on these rugs depending on how many colors were used in the selvages (if they're original).
