Hello. I bought this small Saruk Feraghan rug last week with the size 150/107 cm. I love old Saruk weaving especially with rare design. Although there is no corner border or a part of a medallion or another side border but only this rapport bird and floral lattice on this rug i do have the feeling it could be a sampler rug. What is your guess? Chris

Nice rug Chris but not a sampler, why would you think that it was?

Its because of this unusual big flowers in relation to the dimension of the rug and the small border. I often saw bidjar wagireh with a very difficult design i did have the same feeling. Of course, if its a sampler there must be different elements of design. And of course the infield is rather symmetric.

real nice example. I don't think it's a sampler either, but it's a great looking piece
