The size is 25"X39". Finely but almost crudely knotted so I guess, and I am a lousy guesser. it is not iranian. One border to selvage is 1/4" and one 3/4" What is it?

The writing is Arabic script, and I believe, Farsi.

It looks like the Iranian name Shahrokh. (It could also be Shahrukh, 'o' and 'u' are written with the same letter.)

The letters being 'sh', 'a' (the vertical stroke), 'h' (the round thingy) 'r' (the hook thingy), 'o' (the thingy above the hook thingy, indicating the vowel) and 'kh' (the last letter, pronounced as in the composer 'Bach'), all going from right to left, of course. But I'm only guessing.
