this design is kashan, although the rug could be from mashad or there about. could be as old as 35 years, but newer is possible. value is tough because condition is everything. on ebay, worn with light foundation showing you can get these for maybe $1 per square foot shipped. on a large e-tail site in better condition they ask for as much as 30 per foot. the condition makes or breaks the piece, but most should average at about $4 per foot in average used conditioin with no foundation showing
