The first seems to have a cotton foundation. The field pattern looks like it is based on the simplified fields of Caucasians from the early to mid 20th century, the main and inner border are also Caucasion, and the guard border can also be found on Caucasion rugs, I believe.

The second looks more like a freestyle combination of Caucasian elements with some Turkmen elements to me.

I guess both are newer rugs from where you live or more from the south. Not as collectible as old rugs from there. Do not buy but for very cheap money.
The silk one do have a famous star kazak design.

I am sure that the silk rug is not made in the Caucasus. It was made in China (I saw there are some times)

Chris,

Yes, sometimes. Typically, dirty, damaged and so on. I think you are misleading people. I do not think that this price may be an indication for the people. For example, if I bought the original silk hereke, 2 x 3 m for 500 euro on auction, then when people will ask how much is silk hereke 2 x 3 m, I must say 500 euro?

Bukhara,

oh no, please do not compare a good high priced rug with this not collecteble leftover.
Bostrom77 is in Georgia now. There are definetly some markets and shops or private people selling those older rugs. In relationship to Europe taste of carpets this two rugs do not have any worth. On Ebay i every day can make better catches. Every day there are auctions all over Germany, they cannot sell those rugs with 10,- USD.

There are millions of rugs and carpets in private hands going for 10,- USD or 10,- EUR changing property all over the world in a month.

The carpet market braked down complitely in the last years. And then i should tell bostrom he have to pay 500,- USD for this leftover?
