I am new to this forum, so I will try my best at it.
I happened upon these 2 rugs. The tan one has no markings what so ever. The blue one has a sewn on piece of cloth that reads "EL 1904". They are both very large. They both appear to be hand made. They are both made out of a "natural" material. I did a fiber burn test to determine that they are made out of hair....wool. The blue one has an insurance or appraisal ticket on it and the ticket is marked "Swelldom" and the previous owners last name along with a number. That is all I can really say as I am not skilled in the rug business. I would like to know the approximate value of the rugs and where and when their from.
How do I insert the pictures??????????

Hello.
Both rugs are about from 1970. The blue one from Kerman region, Iran. The second from Pakistan.

Does anybody have any idea of the approx. value? Any idea what the "EL 1904" sewn on the bottom of the blue rug means? Also can you give me a price range (value) I know condition is key so a ruff range would help me out greatly. Are they something I should let my dog lay on or not. And if I was going to sell them, what would a good starting price be? They are in great shape, a professional cleaning and they could be good as new. Also what did they originally sell for new? Thanks for the reply Chris, very helpful.
