Okay I couldn't resist because I am in LOVE with these 3 rugs and want to know more about them so I can refine my searches in hopes of finding similar ones in different sizes
(or cave and pursue asking more info about these since what I've provided is all there is info and picturewise). Everything about these work for me - the pinks/oranges/yellow/browns. Are there towns or tribes that do this sort of thing regularly? If I gotta have, what would u recommend for a counter price or is this a fair price? (I know you're only working off one pic...)

Hey!

Great to see your interest in rugs.

prices seem reasonable. do know these are rugs which may have conditional issues such as heavy wear, exposed foundation, colored or painted warps to disguise wear... The middle one has loss to one end. This severely impacts value. The bottom one is a heavily reduced carpet made into a smaller piece - loss to both ends and sides.

on the forum we discuss a lot about these types of ebay rugs. In a lot of ways, you really cant go wrong with some of the prices, but it's not like these are 'unbelievable' bargains. you do get what you pay for generally. these ebay rugs are just about the most affordable handmade rugs out there, but they are going to have problems such as being dirty or little to no resale. but, these rugs do have interesting character and a ton of aesthetic value. the first one seems to be dated, which is always fun conversation with guests.

Thanks, Rugpro! Although I would love a bargain on a swell rug, I'm happy to know what I'm paying is fair and thankfully these less than perfect rugs are being offered by people who know that and price them accordingly. What I really don't want to deal with are folks who misrepresent, purposefully or not, and ask for way more than they should, or even think that a junk rug should be haggled with from some astronomical dollar figure. I have to get back down to earth, though, and pass on these rugs anyway cause the sizes just aren't right. Hoping you can weigh in on my other post, esp with regard to cleaning. Would the painted parts or its neighboring areas be adversely affected by a wet wash? Have you any experience with what the vendor talks about re: using air? Is my quote pricey?

What's funny is the one on top is posted upside down. Clearly an English speaker is the seller. I flipped it and enlarged it but the writing is not clear enough for me to make a definite translation. I can sort of get it but the 'dots" are not clear enough to make out if it's a "n" ot "t" in some places so there's no point of saying anything. There is a fair amount of writing on that carpet in curious places. Not all dates.
