Issues relating to fringe and kilims raised in another thread suddenly caused me to revisit elements of my new Jillyrug. I felt, first time I saw image of it.....and this was later confirmed, that this is neo Sarouk made in India.

Only part which confuses, the fringe. Unlike the eno sarou, I found in the garbage, all the examples posted here:

My rug has fine, short cotton fringes and no kilim. I just made two images and will upload.

Does this departure have any significance? Are these original? Were more typically Indian ones replaced maybe?

PS: Will add old image of the kilim and fringe of my garbage sarouk, unambiguously Indian; it is now at the bottom, 0416.
