Hi, first post! Been a while since i wrote anything in english, hope I don't make to many mistakes!

I've been looking around the web fore some interresting new rugs and come to the conclusion that 'Baluch' rugs (Baluchi rugs?) fits my taste and wallet the best.
These rugs are sold as village and tribal rugs and are availible in quite large quantities and quite cheap. But I was wondering if anyone has some information on these rugs? Are they really made by nomadic tribes as the shopkeepers claim? Why are they so inexpensive compared to other persian rugs?

I've been looking at http://www.carpetvista.com/, really like this one: http://www.carpetvista.c...carpet_5932-Beluch.html love the colours and the pattern. Have also been looking in Peter F. Stones book 'Tribal and Village Rugs - The Definite Guide to Design, Pattern and Motif' (lovely book) to see 'traditional' patterns. Very interesting, although I'm primarily interested in a good looking rug rather than a strictly traditional.

So, any input? Experiences with newly made Baluchi rugs? Any expirence in purchasing from above mentioned webstore?

Cheers Jens

I just realized that carpetvista.com is a Swedish site, so i guess not many of you guys has any expirence with them. sry.
