I know this is not everyone's taste....and the most amazing rug I ever saw is the I think, Kashan this site chose to employ as example on the Certification page....I fell DOWN when I saw it...the one with the Crown Jewels Spinel red field,....but I think this Indo Sarouk is wonderful, also huge:

Edit-visual: Below is why I see the field of that stunning Kashan (?) on our Verification example of images page, as fine Burmese spinel color.....also my favorite field color in Sarouks. People don't get what the red of even fine rubies is, it has much blue and not the orange brown crystalline fire of a fine and perfectly cut and faceted spinel.

Also, in the British Crown Jewels, much of what people think are rubies.....are really the finest spinels. I am just a cornucopia of arcane trivia, yes? lol If a dealer described a field color as Burmese spinel....I would buy it immediately. Kidding. Would like to, is more like it.

I have now, boy! How many dense with comments about hand wrought 24K gold bezels and baroque pearls and cabochon everything, and Mikomoto story.....for openers... did I sent you last nite? U MUST make this INTO A THREAD; nobody deserves to miss it!!!!!
