Thanks for quick response, these rugs are mine, as i mentioned earlier, the Isfahan twins are 7x 4.7 feet each with around 520 ksi
As for the Kashan, its nearly the same size.
I am sure that they are more than 80 years old and in v. good condition since they were hanged on wall for years, however my request is to get an evaluation of its current value, also to make sure that the Kashan rug is in fact Khashan or Qoum??
Thanks
Hi, quick response from a novice, not worth much! I must have missed the data you offered....so strike my questions to you. Pls wait for Rug Pro to weigh in.
I have so little eperience with such fine, tightly woven Persian rugs.....forget possibly antique ones is such pristine condition, it took me aback.
But hanging them on walls is sure to preserve them! Is that they were hung, the reason for the reenforcing tape along the selvedges?
I see the Kashan has double ply yarn.....Pro will make good use of that in the data he presents to you.
Not sure why....maybe the colors, I am not convinced the Isfahan (are their actually two?) is antique...tho I have read that by genre alone even the less spectacular among them are still very fine and desirable.
Also, Pro will want to know if you want an evaluation to sell or to insure, and if to sell, by what route....or just cause wanting a sense of value in marks, euros, dollar.. is NORMAL AND HUMAN!!!

Final observation of the "twins" I notice the corners are not what they call "resolved," THIS may indicate the twins are what thy call "city" Isfahans as opposed to "workshop".
But I need to shut up and we need to wait for ouR Pundit!!
