Trying to determine the value of a 3 foot 1 inch by 21 ft Persian.

what can you tell us about this rug? how was it acquired, what is the condition? we can't see the entire piece, but is there moth damage, low areas, repairs, stains, ends complete, etc....

design is a mir boteh repeating field. the border is a typical border seen paired with this type of field. I think the rug may be an Arak weaving (Persian), but the knot density is at or just above 110, which may allude to another thought I had. I would say age is 35 years. value let us know on cond.

The rug is in perfect condition - no damage whatsoever, no low wear areas, no stains, all ends complete. I would call it NEW condition - aside from the fact that I have had it for 25 years and purchased it from a family friend who was selling his home - he had it for 10-15 yrs before that.

Retail for a rug in New condition (as though it's never been used with no blooming of the wool) I think fair retail price at a showroom would be in the vicinity of 800-1000. Private party around 325-400. Just ballparks.
