Good afternoon - I am requesting assistance in identifying the carpet, pictures attached, and whether the price of $1600 USD is reasonable. I have been approached by a vendor in India who states that this carpet is an East India Company carpet, approxinamtely 100 years old. Although I am no expert at all, the deisgn looks, perhaps, Chinese (maybe even art deco) but I have been trying to check sources and simply cannot simply find a similar design or pattern. Carpet is apporx. 9x12. Not a whole lot of pile left and with some restoration of the worn out parts is offered at $1600 USD. Thank you.
