Could use help identifying beautiful old rug (Bidjar, 1880s?)

Hi All,

I recently was given this rug as a gift by a friend leaving town, was wondering if anyone's seen it/can recognize the pattern.

The dark color in the photos is actually a deep purple.

Rug is approx. 12.5 X 9 Feet. Any help is appreciated, thanks guys!

I think it is a 1970s Tabriz. It appears that the outer guard border has been taken out.
