Value and repair thoughts on this (Heriz?) rug - another question??

This rug is 14.9 x 10.5 feet - Any ideas about origin, value, is it of good enough quality to last at least another 25 years? Also, is that an easy repair, or much $$$. The attachment of the entire rug is at the top of pics, couldn't get it to post correctly. Thanks for help!

It is a very pretty Heriz. It seems to have good pile so easily will last you another 25 years. I think you would have to pay at least $5000 in a shop and most probably more. I am not sure what repair prices are like in the US but I think it should be between $100 to $200 if it is the corner shown in the photo

Well, as it turns out, it is still available. I do have another question. In the picture showing the edge damage, but which also shows the front of the rug, would you consider the wool to have "blossomed"? I've seen this term, but have never seen labeled examples of it. Or is the fuzzy appearance a function of longer pile? Thanks for information!

I don’t know what is meant by bloom. However, from the images I didn’t notice any another major problem

Thank you, Sharifi - from what I understand, "blossomed" means the tips of the wool pile have unraveled/slightly opened. I don't know exactly what the affect is, but I assume it gives the rug an "overly fuzzy" look (?). . .
