A reasonable price for this Tabriz if you are buying it privately is $500 per square meter.

Thank you Sharafi & Co
Do you know the age of this rug? The current owner had it for 20 years, but he bought it used.
Also not sure why the white highlights are not visible at the front of the rug.

It could be 20 years old or thereabouts. I am not sure if by highlights you mean the silk that it is supposed to have. But that could be that not a lot of it is used.

Thank you.
See the green line that I draw on the rug.
One end starts from the back triangular border, clearly the white outline is visible for the triangular border.
Check the other end of the green line that ends on the front triangular border, the white outline is not visible.
The front border and field design also seem to be blurry or faded.

You certainly have very sharp eyes. The outlines, which are white seem to have got dirty. I am not sure if it is silk or mercerised cotton but I have a feeling that they will stay that colour on the front even if you wash it, which is not a huge factor in the price. If the white line is mercerised cotton then that is a good factor to reduce the price by 30%, as it is not the sort of material that should be used in fine Persian carpets.

Overall for this type of pieces this is quite a good one, especially being on a cream background.

Thank you.
It is a fine rug. I'm sure that the outlines in the rug are not silk.
Thanks again.
