I am considering purchasing this rug from a local consignment store but am a bit ignorant about what I am looking at. The rug is 7'5" by 10'10" and in good shape, most importantly I like it. I am wondering what exactly it is, where it might be from and any estimate of age. The rug is hanging right now so I was unable to get any photos of it lying on the floor. Also, the store is asking $1,850 for it and I would like to have an idea of value before spending that sum of money. Thank you for any help or advice you can offer.

It is a new rug woven by Afghans (maybe refugess in Pakistan). They call this production Kazak. It is diffcult to tell how fine it is or what the design is like, but for a new rug the price is not high for a shop purchase.

It is a Pakistan Rug with Kazak (Caucasian) Design. It is not of fine quality, rather commercial. You can buy this rug new around USD 1500.00 in this size.
