Rug was given to me by my boyfriend as a gift and he didn't give me any information about it (most likely doesn't know) and it was handed down (used)
We live in southern california

Just learning so may be incorrect but i believe:
it is 44 x 85 inches.
Color has run into the fringe and a couple other areas.
2 or 3 ply.
hand woven.

I'd like to know where it originated, what style this is, how old, and approximate value. If anybody knows write back, I'd really appreciate it.

Sara

It is Persian Baluch Circa 1970s. It has condition problems and I think in shop in good condition you would have to pay around $700 but in this condition you would have to sell it in an auction and I dont believe it will go for a lot of money, about $100 to $200

Thanks for the very quick response. I appreciate it.

Condition problems meaning what? the color run? or normal wear and tear? Or what conditions exactly did you see in the photos? That way I can describe those when i sell it!

For some reason I could not open your latest images. But from the previous ones there is a small area that is worn. It needs cleaning. I did not see the colour run but if it has a colour run then that would be a condition problem as well. There appears to be some sort of problem at one end. In the image one end looks as if it has been washed badly and the colours have all gone wrong. Unless that is what you meant by the colour run.

i see what you're talking about. it's in the full image of the entire rug. I think it looks alot worse in the picture. I snapped those pics last night in the kitchen. I'm going to drag it outside in natural light so we can get a better picture. give me a couple hours.

and thanks thanks thanks!!!!Applause Applause Applause

It looks like it looks worse than it is in those first pictures. you can see the color run on these new pics from the underside but i took pics of all corners and I don't see it really. And I got better pics of the damaged areas. Let me know what you think. thanks again for everything.
