Medium size kilim rug approx.4x6 wool on wool. Any thoughts on origin are appreciated. Is this something I should have professionally repaired and cleaned? It seems to have several areas joined together, not woven as one, possibly other areas that have been repaired [?]. One side is sun faded. I like it but is it worth dumping $ into? Thank you in advance for any advice or opinions.

It is an unusual pretty kilim. I think it is a Kurdish Persian, from Harsin. I dont know what cost of repair you have been quoted but I would not think it should be a lot. Personally I would spend money on this piece.

Thank you for the information Sharafi & Co. I am going to do the repair. The colors and the design are very appealing and I think it will clean up well. Would you know the age on this piece? Thank you again for your helpful response!

Its difficult to tell from the photo but I think from the orange being natural dyes I would say pre 1930s. I think it will clean up to be even a prettier piece
