I have purchased a Habibian Nain online - at the Nain Traiding Company.

They look authentic and serious - however- I have read several posts about fake Habibian carpet - or at least fake signatures added to the carpet after the production.

Can you help me to decide if the carpet is the real deal. I have the possibility to return the carpet within 30 days - so it shouldn't be a problem if I have to return it.

I have no reason at all to question the Nain Trading Company. They seem very serious! However, because I am new to Persian carpets - I just want to make sure - to get your opinion.

It certainly is a fine piece and looks like a genuine signature to me. However, it is impossible to tell if the signature is genuine from photos. One thing to do is to feel the areas where the signature is to other parts of the carpet if they feel different (in terms of stifness or weave) then it is very likely that it is not genuine.
