Hi,
My latest acquisition, size is about 48 X 80". Sadly it has lost a bit off the ends and has commercial fringe sewn on. Other than that I don't see any real problems. My guess is that it is from Hamadan?? Am I close or not? Also any recommendations what to do about the fringe? Leave it? Fix it???
Thanks for any help on this,
Bruce

It is a Borchalu from the Hamedan province and probably about 60 years old. If the fringe does not bother you then leave it but it appears to have small areas of wear. If it doesnt cost too much and you have a good restorer it might be a good idea to have it done. Fixing the fringe properly can be a bit costly.
