The attached picture has the end fringe anchored on the body. I know this has to be a machine made rug, but yesterday there was a beautiful varily big silk rug on ebay. The rug was old and beautful with a $500 reserve. The only thing that threw me was the picture of the back looked like rows abouve a row, both very perfect. Therefore, I assumed it was machine made and asked that of the owner who knew nothing about rugs. He talked to a dealer, and immediately pulled the rug off because it was pure silk.
But again any anchoring of the fringe is a sure sign it's machine made, correct?
Thanks
