4x6 tight handle. Not sure of age or if it is a baktari. I read that pre1930 baktari were not made for the commercial market. This rug has a very close cropped pile and approximately 300 kpsi which I'm not sure if that indicates a time when baktari were done with more artistry.

Thanks

I think its a Saruk Farahan and a very pretty one. Some losses to the end but still good condition. Personally I don't think the orange is synthetic and I think it is Circa 1900.

Hi,
Nice rug. I agree with Sharafi that it is a turn of century Farahan Sarouk rather than a Faraghan based on its weave and knot count. Its' high knot count of @300 kpsi and tight stiffer weave suggests Farahan Sarouk to me, but it does have the loosely left depressed warp which is associated with late 19th century Farahan. It's a great antique rug with minor border loss.
