Nice rug, I have a Kerman and they tend to be a little stiff, how does that rug feel? If I were to guess I would say that is a Kerman.

Hi Nick,
From its fineness and detail and the bright crisp colors of the broken border, it's a Ravar Kerman...love the angular flowers towards the center with the lovely greens and blues and color nuances. None of my Kermans are stiff, but very pliable and blanket like. I think Kermans made after the 50 - 60's were stiffer and more production pieces. Venture a guess of age...1940's, Savonnierre style??

Could be Kashmir or China reproduction, colors don´t really look iranian, but design is Kerman. Can you post an image showing knots, fringe and shirazi?

Hi Nick,
Beautiful Persian Kermans. I was just reading in Edwards book about the different grades of Kermans and this is the highest quality. We have one that is 324kpsi also. What a spectacular find. So glad they ended up in the right hands...I think it they may be of the family of Kerman's made by Arjomand. See back of Kerman we have below

I don't think its as Kerman. I tend to agree with KAD and I think its an Indian copy. It just doesnt have the character of a Kerman, even in the image

I would also say most likely Indian. The wool looks a bit dried out.
