Hi folks

Bought this relatively cheaply, the muted colours just seem to work so well.

Any thoughts as to area, age and value.

I am not too fussed about the wear, provided I can stabilise the worst areas.

Is it worth investing heavily or should I just get it cleaned?

many thanks

Steven

Thanks Nick, maybe early first half 20th century?

where would you put its value (just so I can prove my wife wrong as she didn't want me to buy it)

Can I ask, does the 1st dibs one have any significant characteristics over mine?

Thanks

I think it is a Shirvan and circa 1940 and not as old as the one in 1stdibs. The auction value is probably between £500 to £800 and the replacement value which is what the 1stdibs value would be is £2000 to £2500.
