Would someone please shed some light on this 2.5 ft. by 3.5 ft. prayer rug I recently purchased for $40.00 US? I believe it is silk. It is in great shape, with little wear. I would like to know its region of origin, age and approximate value. Thanks in advance for your insight!

mercerized cotton (art silk ) not silk
but still a good buy for $40.00 well done
keep it out of the sun they fade real bad
