I would like to hang a 9x12 silk on silk carpet on the wall. It is about 650kpi. I have read about using velcro sewed to fabric which is sewed to the rug as a preferred approach. I have the following questions about this approach. 1. is this a safe approach for my particular rug. 2. what is the recommended thread and needle size to attach the fabric with velcro. 3. how many and what interval should the stitching be that attaches the fabric to the rug?

hello, welcome, please post photographs and tell us a bit about the approximate weight of the rug, and whether the bottom of the rug will touch the floor, or any weight to be distributed other than top

Dear Rug Rag,

My apologies for the delayed response. I am attaching pictures of the rug. Please let me know if they are sufficient to give advice on hanging. It is a 10x7 rug.
