OK, so now I have been made the fool for the day on the forum so I might as well continue, huh? From my stupidity, hopefully others will learn. I think the biggest lesson I have learned so far is to buy from a store close to where you live, this way you will not be out anything to send these carpets back to the seller. THANKFULLY, I have only paid a down payment at this time. I hate to send these back, but am thinking that if the prices are so over-inflated that the quality has been too. Is this a correct assumption on my part?

So, I was told that this is a "One of a kind" weaver's interpretation of a masterpiece. This is a weaving of a painting titled Villa R from the famous Swiss artist Paul Klee. I am also providing a picture of the original artwork just for information purposes.

Flingo; this hardly has much to do with you being the "fool for the day" as it does placing emphasis on how problematic some sellers can be.

You have posted some good photographs.

The foundation appears to clearly be cotton, however have you tested the pile for true silk?

I was told the pile is mercerized cotton....

And thank you for helping me to feel a bit better, I guess a better word than fool is that I was played for a sucker, huh? Or at least the seller is "trying" to do so.

Thanks again for this forum, I know I will learn many very good things here.

because it has to do with a specific artist outside of the rug weaving itself, it's something that i would not be able to provide insight on.

how is it going with this seller?
