First, sorry folks for messing up the headings in two of my last post, but guess newbies are prone to mistakes d'oh!

So, finally for today;

This lovely little rug was bought in Kathmandu (Nepal) circa 1977. It has a lustrous sheen and a almost silky feel. The seller, a Tibetan, claimed it was a Tibetan rug, which it obviously is not. Any Idea what it is and who may have made it?

Size approx 2'.6" x 1'.6"

yes its balouch the design is called a "Reciprocal Kochak stripe
