We bought this carpet about 35 years ago and at that time the dealer sais it was called "King Solomon". So the theme dates back to ancient Israel and it seems to be the story of the bible with the with the archangels on top, the 3 wise guys, Maria with the child, the ark and all the animals. It seems to be a single piece and we would like to know more about it and its value.

That's great, it's got a little bit of everything in it. I have not seen this before, although I have seen similar rugs with little parts of this. Just because it is completely one of a kind does not mean it's priceless (although it does appear as though it could be a fairly good carpet in the sense of weave and character). I don't know what your objectives are with this piece, from a replacement standpoint the rug would likely be rather difficult to replace, although that does not mean it's priceless. Please see the required forum images for evaluation on type, origin, etc.
