I'm guessing rolling a rug is the best method of storing a rug, but if space is an issue is folding the rug in this method good also? Is storing folded in this fashion for 3-4 months okay? http://youtu.be/g-zvqo-EtRk

Hi
I purchased a bidjar over twelve months ago. It was delivered folded, I have not been able to get rid of the creases since.
I have since learnt that bidjars should not be folded. I guess it depends on the rug, the thicker the pile the less you should fold.
I have gotten into the habit of rolling my rugs.........

I did not watch the video, but most creases should come out from 1. time and use or 2. if you steam them. As TonyG has said, some rugs just should not be folded. I would not say this is exclusive to any specific group or type, since each rug really should be considered if it's a candidate for folding based on it's condition and character.

TonyG - have you tried steaming the rug? If not, just be sure the rug dries properly afterward. Steam should work
