I know nothing about rugs but found this rug at an estate sale. It was framed in a huge acrylic display case for some unknown reason and it struck my interest. It is well worn to say the least and appears to be quite old. It has been repaired in a few spots. The custom acrylic frame that it came in had to cost several hundred dollars so why would someone have gone to the trouble and expense of preserving and displaying this rug? Thanks for any help you can provide. http://s1260.photobucket...1/library/Persian%20Rug
