I purchased two rugs today at an auction held by a reputable dealer in Washington, DC. My husband is skeptical of the value of the pieces, and has me nervous that I may have overpaid - I need your help! Please review the attached photos and let me know if the price I paid for this rug is in line with its value. The auction price I paid ($1,500 + 12% fee) is signifiantly less than the tag price as shown in the attached photos.

Jaqi - You have great taste and the photos provided are perfect to see what the rugs are. These are two very attractive rugs, and I think you did fine with both. As I said before, the prices on the tags are inflated, but I think you got a fair deal for two these two pieces.
