What makes you say this? We were thinking Isfahan and older. The rug is one of two we have for repair and restoration. The other has been used in Coronations and weddings of Kings in the UK... the earliest known date it was used (had a fabric backing added and this had fabric plaques/stamps to say when and what event they were used in the earliest being 1902. But this one may not be related to the other.

Will post photos of the other soon.
