orange staining on new bidjar rug

I recently purchased a brand new 4x3 bidjar rug. It is of high quality and looks great. Over six months I have noticed that areas with white wool, which there is few, are starting to change color to an orange/brown tinge. Up till now I have only vacuumed the rug. Is this normal, and how can I reverse it????

Photo 1 is taken when the rug was new. Note how white the edges were. The other photos show how yello/orange they have become after only six months.
The rug is not in sunlight and gets light trafic........

Can I steam clean this out?
Rug was bought from Persian art collection in Sydney.
