Help identify rug from Azerbaijan

This rug was purchased in Baku, Azerbaijan from a rug dealer for $100USD (it was actually in use by the owner). The design and color were unlike any other in the shop. Two-sided, heavy wool. I was told it is probably around 50 years old. It is in very good condition. Is this really an Azeri rug? brit6776 attached the following image(s):
