I purchased this at an estate auction. I don't know anything about the item at all, but the previous owner was an extremely wealthy individual with an extensive art and antique collection so I thought there might be some value in the rug. All the other items in the auction were high end expensive items including many paintings valued at over $20k and expensive furnishings.

The rug is 31" wide and 93" long. The condition appears like-new, no visible wear, stains, discoloration, etc. - to my novice eye. I don't see any signs of repairs. The detail pictures attached are reflective of the overall condition.

I know very little about these rugs so any information you can give me - origin, design, machine or hand made - is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Mike
