This portion of "we" think's they're on crack asking $500 for that carpet in a 3X5. If it was me I'd offer it at $250 in this climate wihtout a store, and then be willing to haggle a bit if I was desperate. I have to say this. A lot of people see "Asian carpet" and their minds go ka-ching. Like every violin is a Stradivarius.

No way for $500. perhaps to 100 but the pics look low res. I can't tell if this is an ikea hamadan or a semi antique lilihan. my impression is hamadan from ikea or something.

Nothing up, I just thought maybe you had been to their store and seen the iconic over the top pricing they used. If it was a carpet, any carpet, no matter the side, the starting price was about three grand and from there to the moon. It was always a fun romp to visit. Even their warehouse out in New Jersey.

I've heard all their antique rugs were consignment. They do have a long history though which surprises me. Cant be cheap to have that many sq. ft. in manhattan.

Have you been selling any goods recently?

Yeah, and ABC has/had a mamouth warehouse store in New Jersey. I haven't been selling much, at all. Although I have a client Wednesday who is taking four medium sized ones off me, so that's a nice happening for the season.
