God, this is a beautiful rug, the dealer said it is a rug from Konya area of Turkey, the wool was remarkable fine and soft, the rug itself was very lose, the threads looked loose, I did not get a picture of the threads because I had to get out of the shop to avoid spending money my wife said I/we do not have, he said it was about 60 years old and the rug had a few places where the pile was a little worn, he said it was a rug probably used as a dowry, he is a reputable dealer in the area, just wanted to show off this rug and any comments would be appreciated. I might be going back next week to get it!!
