hard to tell for sure in picture... does not look sharp enough colorwise to be persian and it may not be silk... looks kasmir and merserized cotton which looks and feels like silk.... having someone look at it in person could be worth it.... in this market if it is non persian and not real silk and 2 x 3 only appraised value of about $100.... if persian and real silk $400 appraised value... again i could be more certain if i could see it in person. not old... modern. maybe 1980s. could even be 90s.

Your rug is a very common type: Kashmir Silk rug from India. These rugs where sold very much in the 1990's in the design of your rug. From the way the pile has worn it is most likely natural silk. These rugs where made with a viscose pile also, but yours is natural silk. The quality is called 18/18. These rugs are still produced and you can find them searching kashmir silk rug in any search engine.
