Hello, I went to see a rug I was interested in today.
I want to know the value of this Persian Tabatai Tabriz from the 1920s.
It would be great if you can let me know if it is Persian Tabriz, and the value of it. It has it's wear (some low pile), I saw 3 or 4 holes fixed.
Cotton fringe seems intact. The color is a bit faded from it's original color.

It would be great if I can get an estimate ($900?) Thank you!

It is not a Tabatabai, it is not 1920 (more 1960-70) and in this condition I would not pay 200$ for it. As you posted it is worn and the rug was reduced - all 4 sides cut.

This is an old Persian Tabriz but not Tabatabae, and if the holes have been fixed professionally, and if the pile is only low and not completely gone, then I say 400-500 would be a good price, I really like the pattern.

Thank you so much! I had no idea the sides were reduced. No wonder the cotton fringe looked new. I liked the pattern but did not end up getting it, as it was sold to someone else for 900. My rug search will continue!
