I bought this rug in Thailand last week. I was told it was hand knotted, Kashmir silk. It looks too neat to be hand knotted but I wouldn't have a clue. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

The pattern is the same back and front
It changes colour when u move it (very shimmery silver)
It folded up to carry on baggage size
The fringe does not look like it is attached, nor does the other edge, but I am not sure
It heats up when u rub it
The back looks very neat and consistent although there are some very small tufts of thread or small inconsistent knots.
