5k!?!? This seller is crazy. That's a lot of repair, especially if the rug has been sitting in a basement, you never know the extend of the damage or odor. Its not over 100 years old either. It's a big rug, decent design, but needs some big $$ to fix up from what can be seen immediately just from these photos nevermind regular wear from use it may have. rugs should never be left in a basement... it's pretty, but I would keep lookin. Sick

I'll second that. Looking at it with the eye of starting withthe top price and working down based on damage/cost of repair, I'd say the guy is on crack. Stored in a basement? I'd need to see for mold and dead rot myself and that is a pretty major repair. I have seen some good reweavings that look perfect, and some where they just patch in a piece that "sort of" looks like the body of the rug. Needless top say, there is a big difference in the cost of these two methods. Yeah, like RugPro said .... Move along, this is not the Rug Droid you're looking for.

I'm pretty sure that's from ECG Canada... The rug & the picture. eBay carpet, and that person probably bought it for about 150 including shipping just checking out the other Borchelu rugs on there. Turning it for some decent profit.
