My neighbors Mother and Father passed away recently and their son was made executor of their estate. He decided to give my wife and I a pair of matching "Palace rugs" as well as some smaller rugs.
If this helps, a little about their histories. His Father was the "Roads Minister" during the Shaw of Iran. They were purchased to furnish their newly built home but the Shaw was deposed just after they moved in. They took what furnishings they could and moved.
What I can tell you about them, they are both 10' x 14' 10" . They both have the same pattern. They have "Isfahan Kashan" in Farsi inscribed on them, as well as some tags that I think are Farsi as well. They have at least 10 different colors in them. Appear to have 5 strands in each knot and are made of kork wool on cotton. May have been made in the late 70's, might be older. They are a little dirty but I think would clean up well and have very little wear. The tassels have been cut short on one rug.
Any help, on what these are and what their worth, would be appreciated.
"Thanks" in advance.

The rug in the images is a Persian Kashan with a cotton foundation. The pile is wool and not Kurk, the quality is medium. The signature reads: Kashan, M. M. Isfahanian, but not one of the higher quality rugs made by this master weaver. For the size, I think $2200-$2400 would be a fair price for each piece.
