Hello!

Can anyone please help me identify my rugs? :) Your help would be highly appreciated since I'm really eager to know more. Also, if possible, information about value would be nice.

#1: A very small Kurdish rug. The color has somewhat faded in parts of it. Personally I really like the design and colors.





#2: A large Moroccan rug. It has a very thick pile, making it really heavy to carry, and very comfortable under your feet. I like the colors and the design, which is quite modest and quiet, making it suitable for a modern room, whilst still carrying a very traditional look.





#3: A colorful, flat-woven embroidered rug. I think it is pretty new and it smells a bit of synthetic dye. According to the person I got it from it should be Iranian.



#4: Turkish Kilim.



#5: An antique carpet, according to the person I got it from most likely Persian. The person said it's at least 100 years old and possibly older. The colors are still very vivid, but at some places the pile has suffered pretty much and some foundation it showing through. It has a kind of shine over it that makes me suspect there is silk in it, but I really have no idea. Could try to make a better pic if you're interested.

Rug #1 is a Persian Kurdish rug with a wool foundation, not worth much but decorative and nice. #2 is a Gabbeh design, again not worth much but simple and easy to live with because of a harmonious color combination. #3 is a Persian Afshar (Sirjan) kilim, not very old, but again, nice colors and worth about $4 per square foot. I like the geometric pattern in the Turkish kilim #4, perhaps worth as much as your Persian Kilim. The last piece is a Persian Malayer, not a high quality, perhaps with less than 100 knots per square inch, and with the low pile, it is not worth more than $100. Good looking pieces.

Got another one. Any ideas? I like the colors and decoration. Also it has a nice kind of shine over it. My cat also loves it.

I think the first one maybe a a Lori even though the label says Kurdi. Either way you would not be able to buy it for less than $100 in a shop.

Second one I would have to see the back to be sure but to me it looks machine made or if hand made then possibly Indian Gabbeh. If machine made then it is not worth much and if Ind0ian then the shop value is $100 a meter. The same applies to the third one.

The fourth one looks like a Moroccan kelim to me. The shop value is about £80 a meter.

The fifth one is a Turkish Kelim and the shop value is about $100 a meter.

The sixth one is a Persian Hamedan from the town of Begardeh and the shop value of it is about $900 for the piece.

The last one is a small Pakistan mat the shop value is about £10 for the piece.
