Hi, I have a rug that I found at a thrift store. I had it cleaned and the rug cleaner said he thought it was a good rug and even offered to buy it when he brought it back to me. This was a few years ago though, and I don't remember what he said about the rug or how much he thought it was worth.

I would love to find out what style of rug this is, and if it is worth getting appraised? It is about 10x13 (approximate). It feels smooth and silky, but not as soft as a silk rug. The colors are very subtle. I had a hard time getting the colors and pattern to show in the pictures. The edge of the rug is brown, there is a geometric border pattern around the entire rug, and the middle section of the rug has a pattern of flowers in lighter brown and mauve tones.

And if it is worth getting appraised, can anyone recommend an appraiser in Maryland/Virginia/DC area?
