hey guys,

Found this used Qum carpet on ebay:
http://rover.ebay.com/ro...&mtid=824&kw=lg

Would appreciate any opinions on the condition of the carpet. Do you guys see any visible damage or anything of concern to flag? The seller noted fringe damage. How severe could this be and to what extent would it affect the value of the carpet?

Thank you.

Nice rug, good quality, 1970`s - 1980`s qum, but not "one generatio older", buyer was taken about the age as often, but rug is original and worth the money. Make sure to plan in some extra money for a professional wash and repair of the fringes. From what I see on the pictures you will probably only have to get them secured. If warp material (fringe) is in bad condition and you need new fringes it will cost you quite a bit, but for a rug of this quality it will make sense.
